That Next BIG Leap
There is this phenomenon that plays out when you are being asked to step into that next BIG ‘thing’. And it goes something like this.
You have a vision. The vision is damn good. You know with every fiber of your being it is the RIGHT vision. For you. For your company/family/community. For the people you work with/support/lead/etc. Whatever it may be and for whomever it may impact - you just KNOW it is the right vision. The right next move.
Perhaps your first step in realizing your vision is to socialize the high level details of your vision with people who can give you constructive feedback (not necessarily validate your vision - because again, you already know it is the right vision) and provide you the support and encouragement you need to act on putting your vision in motion.
So now you are equipped with a bad-ass vision, amazing encouragement and support of your vision, and all you have to do now is act on that vision to make it a reality. And you are paralyzed.
What stops you?
Is it doubt your vision really isn’t worth becoming reality?
Is it fear you won’t succeed in realizing your vision?
Is lack of energy or time to act on your vision?
Are you upper limiting yourself?
Whatever the paralyzing reason, you are not alone.
Going after your dreams - what visions represent - can be scary, challenging, overwhelming, and more.
What they should be is EXCITING, JOYOUS, GROUNDED in the feeling you are living to your fullest.
Even if you know the reason, you may need help and encouragement to overcome the reason and take the leap. I know I do. I have several people who hold me accountable to go after my vision. My trusted mentor, my queen fierce coach, my tribe.
It takes a village to support each other. Surround yourself with people who want to see you succeed. Who will give you the nudge you need to dare to lead, to act, to leap and leap far. Who will pick you up when you stumble and kiss your wounds. Who will hold space for you to fail, reflect, pivot, and ultimately SUCCEED.
The next BIG leap is yours for the taking. It is not as complicated as we make it out to be. There is simplicity in just making a move and letting that move create momentum to keep moving forward. What is the worse that could happen? You might be pleasantly surprised.
I dare you to take the next big leap and find out.
I am going to right NOW. Join me?
